Engine tasked Coffee & TV to create a world plagued by microscopic pollutants for E.ON UK’s It’s Time to Clear the Air campaign, which aims to highlight the harmful effects of pollution for children.
Coffee & TV’s team utilised a combination of Maya with Houdini particles and volumetrics to produce a detailed visual of pollutants in the foreground and an engrossing smog in the background.
Object tracking the talent within the sequence created a driver to disrupt and enhance the movement of the CG particles. The overall look of the film was developed to deliver the right balance between fantasy and reality, creating visuals that sit naturally in the scene but vivid enough to educate the viewer about toxic pollution hovering around us everyday.
