Coffee & TV create a menagerie of child/animal hybrids for M&S’s ‘Back to School’ campaign.
The CG team crafted a variety of animal heads, from seals to hedgehogs, which were then composited onto live action sequences of kids moving and gesturing.
The ‘For the Wild Ones’ campaign highlights M&S’s durable kids school products range, from a crease proof pinny for your little deer, to puddle proof trousers for your little pups.
The brief was give the animal heads an illustrative quality, rather than create photo-real reproductions, to avoid the uncanny valley and to emphasise a sense of playfulness in the characterisation.
